Quiet Place

I came across this website for aspiring writers and bloggers and the "inspiration for a blog post" in that site was a description of what a quiet place is for us. I was in the middle of writing another post about goals when the thought of a quiet place struck a cord in me.

When I close my eyes and think of a quiet place in the physical realm, the only place that constantly comes to my mind is Santa Fe, New Mexico. I have and still am fascinated by the Native American culture, the genuine warmth that people exude, the external serenity that cradles me when I go to Santa Fe. My cell phone tends to lose its signal when I am there. So, I am technologically disconnected from the world. I go for really long walks through the meandering roads of the town, take leisurely tea breaks at the cafe in the town center, reading papers, engaging in philosophical conversations with the owner of the cafe, listening to soul-soothing live music at the restaurant in the hotel, sipping wine near the warm and toasty fireplace, snuggling under the sheets in my cozy room, watching the light, soft snow flakes gently float down to earth, settling on the branches of the tree instead, YES, Santa Fe denotes external bliss to me. If there is Heaven on Earth, it is Here, Here, Here, for me!
