After dark...hmm.. This topic is really making me think! Ohhh, I know what I am going to write about.
When I used to live in California, near Los Angeles, to be precise, I went to Universal Studios. I loved taking random pictures with the characters who roamed around the grounds. That is not what I am going to write about. I purchased something in LA. Sticky, fluorescent, glow stars. It was a packet full of stars that you can stick on the ceiling and that glows in the dark. I was very fascinated by it and I wanted to stick it in the ceiling of the bedroom.
I am not tall enough to reach the ceiling. Bummer, I should have thought of that! :-) I improvised and stuck these stars on the wall adjacent to my bed. These stars did not glow throughout the night; at least I don't know if they did. It was a "warm" feeling to see these "lights" glow in the dark and it was one of my childish pleasures.
Another childish pleasure that I carry on to this age is to have a wind chime in my bedroom or in a place where I can hear the chimes go ting-a-ling- when the wind brushes by.
I used to love going to sleep listening to that sound. I wish I have words to describe it. It just was a happy sound for me, much like a baby's happy gurgle.
Have you ever gone to sleep, listening to sounds that soothe your heart?
